PhD Project Anxiety & Depression – Newcastle

We are currently inviting applications for a PhD project within the Centre of Excellence in Severe Asthma, based at the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI), through the University of Newcastle, Australia.

 

The following project is seeking applicants:

  1. Targeting Anxiety and Depression in Severe Asthma, supervised by Professor Vanessa McDonald and Dr. Vanessa Clark. This project will focus on developing and implementing a program aimed at targeting anxiety and depression in severe asthma. Further information about this project can be found here.

 

 

Centre of Excellence in Severe Asthma

The NHMRC-funded Centre of Excellence in Severe Asthma (www.severeasthma.org.au) supports training and research translation in severe asthma. The Centre brings together researchers in Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, with the aim of achieving integrated, effective and evidence-based care, transforming the approach to severe asthma.

You will be part of a dynamic and inter-professional research group, with an outstanding research track record and exceptional research facilities. Researchers are involved in translational research not only in severe asthma, but also mild and moderate asthma, COPD and other airways diseases.

Creative, articulate and strongly motivated candidates with relevant skills and experience and an Honours degree in a related field are encouraged to apply.
