Liam Heaney HeadshotAs part of our ongoing seminar series, the Centre of Research Excellence in Severe Asthma is pleased to host Professor Liam Heaney, from Queens University Belfast. The seminar took place on Friday, 08 April 2016 at the Hunter Medical Research Institute, Newcastle.

Prof. Heaney presented an online live webinar, which is now available in the past webinars section of this website.

Professor Liam Heaney will be discussing stratified medicines in severe asthma, based on his experience in the UK. His major research areas are the clinical assessment of difficult-to-treat asthma and mechanisms involved in severe disease. This seminar session will focus on recent advances in the management of severe asthma, with lessons learned in Australia and the UK. The session will also highlight major gaps in knowledge and strategies needed to improve the management of people with severe asthma.
